Business Description
During the mid-1990s, the founders of XAware faced the challenge of linking front-end and back-end systems in a large enterprise. They concluded that traditional integration solutions, such as EAI, BPI, and ETL data warehouses were based on proprietary systems that rendered them costly, complex, inflexible, and difficult to implement and maintain. As thought leaders in data integration, the XAware founders envisioned an open, standards-based integration solution consistent with the widespread adoption of XML, Web Services, and the reach and network connectivity of the Internet. These foundational elements, combined with visionary leadership and a product design based on Service Oriented Architecture, lead to XAware’s unique EII approach known as Service Oriented Information Integration (SOII). This unique approach significantly reduces the cost and complexity of integrating disparate data and application resources.
Product Description
Data warehousing is an effective data integration strategy that views the enterprise as a virtual system, regardless of physical system locations, and defines a central repository for critical business information that is used to analyze and manage business operations. The complex problem with data warehousing is defining business objects that will be stored in the warehouse and getting all parties involved to agree on a common schema for extracting, transforming, and loading the data objects.XA-iServer solves this problem by providing an virtual abstraction layer that uses XML as the common language and eliminates schema and format disputes. The abstraction layer enables information from many systems in an enterprise to be extracted, transformed into XML views, and loaded into the data warehouse. Business analysis and reporting applications access the data warehouse via the virtual abstraction layer, which makes makes many data sources appear as a single, logical data source.
